Langhope Rig Blade Deliveries – This Week’s Deliveries
The access roads at the site have started to thaw significantly following the icy spell we have had recently and therefore the next scheduled deliveries for the Langhope Rig wind farm will take place this week on Wednesday 18th February, Thursday 19th February and Sunday 22nd February.
As with previous deliveries, the blades will travel with police escort from Grangemouth to the site via Denholm, Hawick High Street, Martins Bridge and then the B711. Deliveries are expected to arrive at the site between 3pm and 4pm each day. People travelling this route on delivery days may experience some delays – please accept our apologies in advance for any inconvenience caused during this time.
Following these deliveries, please find below an updated schedule below for the deliveries over the next few weeks:
• Wednesday 25th February – 2 blades
• Saturday 28th February – 2 blades
• Sunday 1st March – 2 blades
• Wednesday 4th March – 2 blades
• Saturday 7th March – 2 blades
• Sunday 8th March – 2 blades
Please also bear in mind that a crane, which is currently sitting on ground near Martin’s bridge, is also expected to be delivered to site this week on Monday or Tuesday. We do not expect the crane to cause any disruption to main roads however users of the B711 should be aware that a large vehicle may be travelling along this road on these days.
Thanks in advance for your patience during this period. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
